It's official! School is out and the official start of summer starts Friday, June 21 at 1:04am! And it looks like Mother Nature shares our excitement with a beautiful, 4 day forecast to start the summer off right!

Did you know we have 273 lakes and ponds in our own backyard, the Lakes Region?! We do! We have so many great places, events and attractions at our finger tips. Check out lakesregion.org for ideas this summer! From the lakes, to the mountains to the outlets and so much more in between! How lucky are we to hike, swim, play, shop, boat, camp and more, all in a beautiful area we call home. When you come in for your visit, tell us what you are doing this summer!

Great question! When you first come in for your initial consultation your doctor will conduct a comprehensive examination to assess your oral health. This will better enable us to determine the best treatment method for you.
Your orthodontic evaluation will consist of an oral and facial examination to assess your oral health. We will have you take intraoral and facial photographs as well as panoramic and cephalometric X-rays to help determine the proper orthodontic treatment method. Then, an impression of your teeth and bite will be taken to construct a model of your mouth. (This will help us when examining your diagnostic records).
At your second appointment, the doctor will discuss your options with you. Our team feels it’s important to take the time to carefully examine your diagnostic records after your consultation so that we can more thoroughly prepare for your orthodontic treatment. This additional preparation will ensure that you receive the best orthodontic care possible. At this time, we encourage you to ask us any questions you may have about your treatment.
If you are seeking orthodontics for your child, our staff asks that both you and your child attend the initial consultation. We feel it is important that both you and your child completely understand the doctor’s recommendations before we proceed with treatment.

Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving our country. Yes, for many Memorial Day is a day off.  And sadly, that's how a majority of American's view this holiday.  That's a shame as it's time set aside to remember the fallen; the brave men and women who have fought to provide us with the freedoms we enjoy in this country. So teach your kids about Memorial Day! This Monday, find a Memorial Day observation of some sort.  Seek out your local VFW, or your local VVA chapter and see what's going on and make sure you explain to your kids....why this holiday is more than just a day off for Mom and Dad. So, when you're out enjoying your Monday off from work and school, whether you're barbecuing with friends and family, at the lake or relaxing, take a moment to give thanks!
